Snow days are one of the reasons I love to be a public school teacher.

It’s one of those priceless feelings of being a public school teacher: watching the likelihood of a snow day grow and then getting that call or text message announcing it!

I feel bad for New York City teachers (and kids). If I lived and taught in NYC, not having the possibility of a snow day is the one thing I’d never forgive Mayor de Blasio for, Covid-19 be damned.

Yeah, I hate we have to make up the day at the end of the year. Still… This moment, I’m too excited about having a snow day tomorrow. I plan to sleep in, make myself a hot chocolate in the morning, and watch the snow fall.
